The ICE 52 comes as a “synthesis” between the fast “race horse ICE33” whose innovative hull, developed through years of research has demonstrated outstanding performance in all conditions, and the “classic” Fast Cruiser ICE62, in which the spirit of the elegant and modern cruiser blends almost invisibly with great qualities of seaworthiness, performance and easy handling.
To achieve this ambitious goal, we started modelling a hull with hydrodynamic solutions generally adopted on uncompromising race boats and we shared it with this fast cruiser project.
We achieved a performing boat which is also very liveable externally, with simple and extremely functional deck gear, and a working deck mostly free from manoeuvres. At the same time she has convenient and habitable interior space, where traditional woodworking and composite materials are well-mixed to obtain a light, elegant and comfortable yacht.
Decisive for performances are keel and rudder profiles that are particularly optimized; thanks to the high percentage of weight in the keel, the boat has a high righting moment, synonymous of stability, performance and safety.
The sail plan follows exactly the same philosophy, it has its origin ina racing yacht but with all those simplifications that make it easy for a family crew to handle.
