The ICE52s have been a real success. In less than three years, nine examples have been launched that have been able to show off various interior layouts, different in arrangement, materials and coatings used, confirming the semi-custom nature of this elegant Fast cruiser.
The streamlined and aggressive lines developed using the knowledge of Felci Yachts in regattas has totally satisfied those who have tried it and the results in numerous regattas such as the Mille Vele, the Sailing Festival, the 151 and the Giraglia, confirm the race matrix of its lines.
From the ICE52 has evolved the ICE52 RS, the sportiest version designed to satisfy those who interprets navigation with a competitive spirit. The first ICE52 RS to be launched was Prima Vista, which immediately took first place at the Vela Festival 2018.
The RS version presents an important lightening quantifiable in about one ton, thanks to the choice of construction materials. It is made entirely of carbon fibre, then hull, deck and structures, thus constituting a monolith well assembled and rigid.
The rudder shaft is also made of carbon, and the choice of furnishing materials inside is all about saving weight.
The deck equipment is similar to that used for the ICE52 version, with the addition of some detail to make it even more efficient when racing, as a jib inner-houler and a set of lighter winches.
Other features of this RS version can be found in the appendices. All ICE52s already have numerically controlled fins; here we also wanted to work the bulb with the CNC process. The keel is more immersed overall. The result of these improvements is a significant increase in the absolute performance of the boat.
Another ICE52 RS is about to be launched.
