The young talent GIACOMO FERRARI tests the new ICE 52 RS evo
On Sunday 13th December, the testing of the new ICE 52 RS evo was done with the participation of an exceptional guest.
On board, there was in fact Giacomo Ferrari, the young talent currently engaged in the 470 Olympic campaign.
Junior World Champion in 2019 and 6th at the Japan World Championship 2019, he qualified the class for the next Olympics and became a member of the Olympic club.
He currently wears the colors of Italian Navy, together with his bowman Giulio Calabró, both Roman, now sixth in the world 470 ranking.
Despite the busy schedule of training and tests with the national team, Ferrari found the time to try the helm of the new ICE jewel, personally checking the performance with light wind and the sensitivity at the helm.
After the test, he tells us: “Good sensations right from the start that I felt very confident with this Ice 52 Rs as if I were on my 470.
The conditions were of extremely light wind, but despite this, the boat proved to be snappy with every small gust and I immediately felt an excellent reactivity to the mode changes.
A winning combination of technological construction and gritty design with a classicism typical of my 470 class, which reflects the past as a former 470ist of the designer Felci.”
