On the occasion of the 2025 Sailor of the Year awards, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Il Giornale della Vela, the “Velista dell’anno Epic” Lifetime Achievement award was given to all the winners of past editions. On stage, the award was presented to Umberto Felci, the first yacht designer to be honored by Il Giornale della Vela back in 1994, representing all the great sailing figures celebrated over the years.
