L’ICE 60 is the new proposal of the ICE Yachts Shipyard. The project starts from the powerful lines of the ICE 52 and 33, maintaining the fundamental hydrodynamic characteristics. In particular the reduced wetted surface and the high form stability, obtained from the “cup” section on which the hull is developed and aesthetically characterized by the reverse bow and the fixed 1.3 meters long bowsprit. The large volumes allow great interior spaces. Form the hydrodynamic point of view, the hull’s waterlines, the keel and the rudder’s profile, are designed to get great performance with excellent results which highlights the potential of ICE60, that can be resumed in “sailing upwind at a reduced heeling angle and to surf fast downwind”. To ensure these performances, DNA of the Felci Projects, there are the high technologies used in the construction and the incredible quality of craftsmanship of the highest quality. The deck reflects the trend of Felci Yacht Design projects, combining simplicity and style, elegance and efficiency, comfort and versatility. In addition there are many details which show how the design of the deck was conducted looking for a synthesis between the comfort for a cruising life and the seaworthiness and efficiency necessary during a long range navigation or during a race. Thanks to the technologies used for the construction of the interior, such as the extensive use of lightweight panels, ICE60 get a significant weight savings compared to a traditional construction, without giving up the advantage taken from a top carpentry work, both in the refinement of finishes and in excellence details. The interior is provided in a 3 or 4 cabins version with 2 or 3 heads, plus a crew cabin forward. The first exemplar of the ICE 60 is currently in advanced stage of construction and will be launched during spring 2018.
