The RF 38 project was created for the new Brazilian RF Yachts shipyard.
It is a medium-sized cruiser yacht, particularly balanced in its basic choices.
The characteristics are those of the most current production models, so certainly the large internal volumes and an equally large external cockpit are the two elements that have mainly influenced the project, but without taking away the characteristics of seaworthiness and efficiency typical of those products “owner oriented “, which characterize the Felci Yachts projects.
The hull remains the one we love to define “performance”, without particular type forming, designed to behave well in all conditions. To be fast under the engine and efficient when sailing rough seas.
The hull is powerful and at the same time has a low wetted surface, it has a quite large maximum beam and a considerable width along the whole sheer line lenght.
The form stability of this hull certainly will benefit those who love cruising, thanks to the limited heel angle, to the soft wave passage and thanks to the large interior volumes.
Those who can also appreciate the sailing performance will be satisfied thanks to the efficient appendages, the sail plan with generous dimensions, combined with particularly effective water lines.
The construction technique that this new site uses is that of the infusion for all the parts made from molds, so not only the hull and deck, but also all the internal counter-molds.
In fact, the production process is particularly studied; the choice of using non-structural counter-molds, allows a quality, a remarkable realization precision, and a replicability of every element of the furniture.
The style of the interiors is consequently modern, with many light surfaces, and some others veneered with different woods.
The materials is chosen for its quality and always based on functionality, low maintenance costs and availability.
The basic version provides a layout with three cabins and a single, but large and shower separated head, a large L-shaped kitchen and a large saloon with comfortable sofas and a folding table.
Just forward, separable with a double door from the “open space” living is the owner cabin, with doublewide bed and two large wardrobes.
The deck equipment lay out, simple and effective, allows sailing the RF38 to the best in every condition and in every type of use.
The openable stern allows easy access to the sea.
The cockpit is equipped with an aft transversal seat that closes the cockpit to the sea and offers considerable stowage capacity.
The shapes of the coach roof is, as in all our design, very simple and decisive, characterized by tensioned curves at creating rather wide and flat volumes.
The glass surfaces are large, both at the level of the deckhouse and at the hull, which has three large openings for each side.
The fixed bowsprit, made of composite, allow the fitting of asymmetrical sails and integrate the anchor.
The displacement, 7600 kg in light trim, is among the lightest for this category of boats, considering also the presence of a lead keel with torpedo of 2300 kg and a very low center of gravity.
